Cinder
Yes! Freaking Cyborg Cinderella!

I can't believe that I ignored this Goodreads recommendation for so long! I will admit that I was not very excited about this being a "Cinderella retelling." I was completely convinced that it would be dumb. I thought it would be cliche and watered down with romance crap.
It was NONE of those things.
The world building was so freaking fantastic! There were flying cars, robots with GREAT personalities, and people that were living on the moon. You also had politics and plagues. This book has a ton of things going on and I wasn't bored for a single second.
Cinder wasn't too much like Cinderella to me. The only thing that reminded me of Cinderella was the fact that Cinder had 1 evil stepsister and an evil stepmother. Her second stepsister wasn't even evil. There were a few issues with her wardrobe and she had some issues with her foot (if you can even call it a foot). That was pretty much it with the Cinderella stuff. I flew through this book and I can't wait to start on the next one. I have a lot of confidence that book 2 won't be a disappointment (like many other series have been).
The only bad thing: There were some things that were a little predictable. Well, just one thing really. I didn't care though because I was super excited about where the story was going. The book was good enough for me to not be bothered by it.
You will probably like this book if: You are female and like a little science fiction.
You probably won't like this book if: You are looking for a romance type book or are looking for hardcore sci-fi.
Cinder is a completely clean read. You won't find anything vulgar in this book.
Summary
Cinder was freaking awesome! Just a heads up - The first book ends on a cliff hanger and you'll probably want to read the second book immediately.
