This book sounds like it was written for me. You've got your evil government and folks are hiding from the evil government. That's my thing....100%. So, this should have easily been a 5 star read. I'm not sure if it was the pacing or if I just couldn't connect to the characters as well as I had hoped. Either way it was a problem for me and I just really didn't care that much. I had to make myself keep reading and it ended up getting better but I still had a disconnect with the characters.I don't see myself continuing this series but I can see why most people would love it. I think it's a case of the "it's not you, it's me" syndrome.
